Triviotic had a huge turnout last night. I think I need to stock up on more answer sheets. I almost didn’t have enough sheets for the picture round.

Congratulations to the victors, Dick Pearson and Co., who came out on top after a tiebreaker round where they had to name the last 11 winners of the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series.

For the first time in the three-month history of Triviotic, we had a three-way-tie after the last round. Since today is Canada Day, the tiebreaker was to name all ten Canadian provinces. One team did it: Hobo Camp, LTPFTW (Long Time Players, First Time Winners). Congrats to them.

I’m hosting trivia tonight at Arrow (85 Avenue A between 5th & 6th). The fun starts at 8pm. Come early for the 2-for-1 happy hour, which runs from 4-9pm. Bring yourself or bring a team. Either way, you’ll find plenty of ways to embarass yourself by showing just how dumb you really are.

Not that your host is all that bright, either. After all, I don’t know anything about hardcore drugs.

Congratulations to Glacial Pace, who won last night’s Triviotic for the second time in three weeks. They were a perfect 20 out of 20 in the final round, which eked them by the second place team by just one point. (Is my memory so bad that I can’t remember that team’s name? Yes, yes it is. I know I wrote it down somewhere…) That second place team was Oh Pants!… a thanks to the members of another strong contender, Gargamel, for refreshing my memory.

After a week off to celebrate the arrival of summer, Triviotic is back tonight at Arrow (85 Avenue A between 5th & 6th Streets). Find us under the big lighted arrow. The fun starts at 8pm, and you can win free booze if you’re smart enough. Bring yourself or a team and put your thinking cap on.
