intelligent and unintelligible thoughts about life in these five boroughs

Nothing you see is real

Passers-by in Madison Square might think that Shake Shack has a new competitor. Nearby residents may be afraid that the city is commercializing their public spaces again.

No worries. Taj Ma Hot Dog is just part of a set for the show Ugly Betty. Who said that LA was the only place where everything is fake?

After all, Broadway also has this storefront just a few blocks south.

I have to admit, I was curios yesterday when I saw them setting up the giant hot dogs. Then when I saw the name–Taj Ma Hot Dog–I was highly amused. Especially when I noticed everyone practically, roaming into traffic to gawk at it.

I passed the “Taj Ma Hot Dog” in the street the other day, when they were assembling it, and I paused for a minute to be all..wtf are these people gawking at? I should have known better than to think it was something stop-worthy.

    Those storefronts are hilarious though!
