It’s Not Just You. It Does Rain Every Weekend.

It’s raining again in New York this weekend. Big shocker there. Despite the fact that we have had one or two halfway-decent weekend days this month, it has rained EVERY WEEKEND FOR THE PAST MONTH. The last weekend that it didn’t rain was April 19th and 20th.
I was out of town that weekend. It rained where I was.
Going back further, we didn’t have a dry weekend until March 29th-30th. But it was also 45 degrees both days, which doesn’t exactly scream “basking in spring sunshine.”
I think Mother Nature is trying to make our lives miserable. If you think this is just pure coincidence, consider this: the last six sets of Tuesdays and Wednesdays have been dry and relatively sunny. The last time it rained significantly on a Tuesday or Wednesday was April 1st. Of those twelve days, only two had temperatures below the seasonal averages. And the only time it rained during daylight hours? When it rained for a few minutes around 8am on April 29th - and the skies were clear by the afternoon. (Source? You want a source? This pattern must end, or I may have to start lobbying for building a retractable dome over Manhattan.

Although we did have a tornado kill 23 people last weekend. I’d take just rain over that any day.

it hasn’t rained in orlando for months…the grass is sharp. it hurts my feet AND the darn state is on fire!

i dispute this, as i was at yankee stadium two saturdays ago for the mariners game and the weather was perfect. however, i believe it has rained the past four fridays.

It’s exactly the same here (Chicago). It’s driving me nuts. I’m left staring out the window mournfully during the week at the sun I can’t spend time in; and on the weekends, I’m inside watching the rain and shivering.
