Token Misinformation
April 21, 2008 – 12:46 pmThe waits at LaGuardia airport can feel excruciatingly long when you’re waiting out your delay in a terminal with one restaurant and two choices for beer. But some people who finally step out of the terminal to take the bus back to Manhattan may feel as though time slowed down so much that it actually moved backwards.
I tried to buy some tokens, but the guy at Hudson News said they weren’t selling any. Then I took the M60 bus over to 125th Street to wait for the 9 train, but much to my dismay, it never came.

At least the sign didn’t say fares were still just five cents.
