I agree with Cody. But living in Colorado, I know I’m not far from it. Some parts of CO/WY might even be considered North Texas as far as I’m concerned.

Why North Texas? Not much to do, lots of small and closed-in communities, decent amount of religion, have to travel a bit to get to a decent metro area (though it’s still there), the plains, the cows, the farming, the white/Hispanic dynamics… lots of things.
