Thank You for Your Informative Announcement
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is the last stop on this train. NO PASSENGERS. This train will be turning back for northbound service. Once again, this is the LAST STOP on this train. Everyone please exit the train. This train will be turning back for southbound service. No passengers, please.” - an N Train Conductor at 42nd Street-Times Square this morning
And then we’re left to stand on the 42nd Street platform, bewildered, with no instructions on how to continue northbound on the N Train. Or was it southbound? An R Train Conductor, on the local track, was telling passengers to take the 1 Train, which is not particularly helpful for people trying to get to Queens. Then, he said that the train would be continuing to 49th Street after all. Then, he said they were being delayed again.
