Poor amNY Can’t Put Food on Your Table

A Tip for amNewYork: If your readers are picking up a free newspaper instead of paying 25 cents for a newspaper with even the guise of journalistic integrity, you probably can’t get them to give money to charity, either.

Yeah, so much for that food drive only lasting a week, huh?

They seem entirely desperate at this point. Look at the addition of exclamation points! The larger font! The catch phrases! The plea for a donation of just one dollar

I feel bad for amNewYork. So, I’m going to put a very conspicuous link to their donation page on this site, since they can’t seem to do it on their own site (it’s hidden in the sidebar, about halfway down the page). Please, donate to their cause. And tell them I sent you!

ok addendum: I just read that again and what i mean to say is: exactly how much coverage does a charity drive doing poorly actually deserve? I get it, i’m sure everyone gets it: amNY is run by a bunch of dyslexic second graders…but at least they’re trying to do something good here. You get me? Alright, good talk.

Meaghan: This was not already posted. Read my last post on this - I took an entirely different angle.

It’s sad that this paper hits 300,000 pairs of eyes every day, and they can’t raise more than $75. Now I’m trying to help, and this is the thanks I get?!

Does AmNY ever come back at you for ripping their paper? Because you’d think by now they’d clean up their act. But no - their crappiness just keeps on keepin on.
