One Way Chicago is Just Like New York

You might think that New York and Chicago don’t have much in common, aside from being large cities. But while I was walking around Chicago at lunch time, I realized that the Second City has a lot more in common with New York than you think.

A long line at Chipotle. And Chicago one-upped us: they put up the ropes to guide the line. That’s some brilliant Midwestern thinking right there.

On a serious note, why are East Coast city people so fucking surprised to find out that Chicago doesn’t have herds of cows wandering down Michigan avenue? ::sigh:: “OMG! It’s like a real city!” Aren’t you adorable - it IS a real city, fucktard.

Seriously, people kept asking my father, when we moved to Pennsylvania, if everyone wore cowboy hats in Illinois.
