Drew Carey May Be Bad, But This Guy is Worse

I’m home sick from work today. But that’s good news, because that means I can watch Drew Carey hosting The Price is Right for the first time.
Drew Carey really seems to rush the show along. He’s very awkward, and he doesn’t quite look like he knows what he’s doing. See, I can’t tell if the producers of the show wanted that or not - Bob Barker was old and slow, but the viewers were used to that pace. I have a feeling old people are going to stop watching TPIR simply because its pacing is just too fast with a young go-getter like Drew Carey hosting the show.
As bad as Drew Carey was, the man in the cowboy hat pictured here was worse (I’m only showing half of him because he’s been embarrassed enough already… or maybe because I couldn’t snap my camera into action quickly enough). When bidding on the last item up for bids, he was the second to bid. The first woman bid $700. So what did he bid next? $699.
Um… I don’t think he quite gets the strategy here.

Haha…I’ve seen that happen before. I don’t know about this guy, but the woman that I saw do it was very excited with her bid. I think she confused bidding a dollar less with just bidding a dollar.
I have yet to see the show with Drew Carey, but when they do bid a dollar, I would still like them to say, “1 dollar, Bob.”
