amNY Watch: Simple Proofing Tip #41
When reviewing the final product before going to presses, check to make sure that you have removed the technical notations from the Associated Press graphic displayed with an article. Instead, crop out the AP’s instructions, unlike what you did in Thursday’s am New York:
Honorable mention: in Friday’s am New York, an interview with Mo Rocca about his appearance in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” was prefaced with this gem:
We asked what led to his transition from “The Tonight Show” to musical theater.
I must have missed the news that Mo Rocca was hosting “The Tonight Show.” That must have been the same night that Leno became a Comedy Central employee.
