This Week in Run-on Sentences
The MTA are masters of the run-on sentence. For example:
ThisisTimesSquaretransferisavailabletothe1237ACEN RandWtrainsandtheshuttletoGrandCentralthisisaBrooklyn-bound
Qtrainthenextstopis34thStreetstandclearoftheclosingdoorsplease.
But it’s not just auditory run-on sentences. In print, the MTA doesn’t believe in things like “punctuation” or “independent clauses,” either.

A little comma would go a long way, too.

says:Not having to pause, for a comma, could be the difference between surviving the litter fire and, you know, being horribly burned to death in the litter fire.
