He Has a Hole in His Throat? I Had No Idea!
I really hate having to ask this, but is anyone else absolutely sick of seeing this guy?

Seriously, he’s everywhere! Every TV commercial break. Every subway station. Every newspaper. Every web site. Every radio station. We get the point! With a hole in his throat, he can’t do anything… he can’t swim, umpire a baseball game, or eat normally. But he can still be overexposed to millions of New Yorkers more than a two-bit Manhattan socialite.
Come on, NYC Department of Health… there have to be some other poor souls out there who are willing to shill for an anti-smoking campaign.

says:I think this guy is totally hilarious. I just crack up everytime I see him on TV or any other medium…probably not the response New York was looking for.

I throw up in my mouth and continue to strengthen my vow never to smoke every time this guy comes on. The one that shows a scope heading down his hole into his lungs is particularly disturbing.

says:Benjamin Kabak… you obviously lack a sense of humor because a spanish dude with a whole in his throat and a latin robot voice is fucking hilarious.

says:it’s odd, really.. i get rather grossed out, the way you did when you had to watch the “see what happens when you don’t wear your seatbelt, you become the not in the governors seat governor of new jersey” film in driver’s ed… when i was diagnosed with the big ‘c’, i ran out and bought a pack of cigarettes… i figured, at that point, what could it hurt? “the surgeon general has determined that cigarettes will cause cancer” guess what? I ALREADY HAVE IT, FUCKWAD!!
then, i remembered how blah it tastes, how expensive it is, and that maybe i was messing with the universe.
thank goodness for remission and the remote. you just flip channels, right?

says:My usually placid NY1 watching in the morning has now been tainted by this jackass. I wish someone would finish this guy off. I’m hoping he walks by an open fire hydrant this summer and drowns. Okay, maybe that’s too extreme. Pulling those insipid commercials off the air might do the trick.

says:The commercial makes an excellent point but it absolutely makes me cringe. I’ve never smoked in my life and glad I never have. But this commercial is EVERYWHERE. I was at Shea Stadium last night for the Mets-Cubs game and there was the ad, on the ad carousel behind home plate…

alma says:i think that people that hate to see the real results of what can happen if you smoke are just scared but they just think it wont happen to them but wait and see when it happens to your love ones then maybe you will look back and wish that you never smoked well i am 39 years old and my brother is 46 years old and guess what my brother has cancer of the mouth and he went through a very painful surgery he has a hole in his throat and a g -tube in his stomach his teeth pulled out half his teeth due to the cancer he use to smoke alot and that gave him mouth cancer. so know i had to learn to give him his food that comes in a can through a tube and i have to crush his medicines and mix it in water and put it through a syring and through the tube too . i clean around the hole in his throat too and it is very depressing to see mt brother that way because he wont be the same anymore .
