This Week in Unnecessary Exclamations!

There’s a sketchy little sushi restaurant a few blocks from my apartment that I walk by every day. The sandwich board outside rarely changes, but I noticed the sign had fresh chalk on it when I passed by today. It looks like the owner is really excited about the nice weather:

Maybe I’m the only typography nerd around here, but the kerning on that board, especially around the capital I just bugs the fuck out of me.

I’m in the mood for a bottle of “wate” for a dollar.

A few things I wish to point out:

    1. Clearly there is more than one “Beverage!” listed on the board.
    2. Apprently “Ice Green Tea” is either their specialty or they’ve got too much of it, as it is the only beverage deserving of the red underlining.
    3. Somebody needed a second, possibly third shot at spelling Lemonade.
    4. I’m a little upset that they couldn’t fit “$3.00″
    on the board.
    5. I would comment on the “soda wate,” but that’s already been pointed out.
