amNY Watch Bonus: Panic! on the Front Page
OH MY GOD! EVERYONE PANIC! BINGE DRINKING IS OUT OF CONTROL IN NEW YORK CITY!
Reports of binge drinking in the city were lower than those nationally. The Health Department said 23 percent of New York men reported binge drinking, compared to 31 percent nationally. (Ed. note: The figures show no change from the city’s 2002 survey.)

says:Only a quarter?! You should come binge drink in South Africa…I beleive our stats are much higher but no one is sober enough to take it down.

says:Did AM NY print the definition of binge drinking - “Binge drinking is defined as having five or more drinks on one occasion during the past month.”
By that definition, I have a feeling most of us have major drinking problems.
