A drunken text message exchange between me and a friend last week:

Friend: there’s a guy next to me on the train who has a paper. should i ask him for it?
Me: only if you’re not going to puke into it.
Friend: no, i was going to read it. but it is an am new york.
Me: don’t do it! it is a proven fact that reading amNY kills more brain cells than the shots you did tonight.
