Not the Best Timing in the World
So my grandmother died.
I guess she just couldn’t find a way to go on living without March Radness in her life.
I’m kidding. Actually, she was all torn up over the fact that Billy Donovan wasn’t going to be coaching at Kentucky next year.
Just kidding again. The truth is: she saw the Alanis Morissette video for “My Humps” and had a heart attack.
No, no, no. She was 93. She lived a long, healthy life, and it’s simple - her time had come.
So, I’ll be hunkered down in Rhode Island for a little while. And while in transit, I’m stuck on the coldest Amtrak train ever. Seriously, I can’t feel my hands right now.
I’ll keep you updated and try to keep you entertained. In the meantime, enjoy this Google Map of my favorite bars beyond New York City. I’ll be using it to seek out places to drink to escape the masses of extended family that will be at my parents’ house.

says:I was a little worried when I saw Bar A on your list. I don’t think I would have been able to continue reading your blog if you hadn’t clarified why it was there.
Sorry to read about your grandmother.

Take care and whatnot.
