New Rules
I wish I was kidding, but these “New Rules for Vermont Hippies on Bikes” became quite apparent to me through first-hand experience today:
6. A bicycle with a 1 hp motor is NOT a motor vehicle. Don’t pull out in traffic going 30 mph down the street when the best you can do is 5 mph. You may get 150 miles per gallon, but so does a lawnmower.
7. A unicycle is not an acceptable form of transportation. Unicycles are made for circuses, not public streets. If you ride a unicycle to work, your business attire better include a spongy red nose, big shoes, and face paint.
